Sylvia Rivera

This painting is a tribute to Sylvia Rivera, it was part of a group show for the release of Hey Lady Quarterly #7 featuring Ms. Rivera at Fantagraphics Bookstore and Gallery in Seattle February 11th, 2017. Sylvia Rivera was a civil rights pioneer, she worked for transgender and low-income communities throughout her life. A% of proceeds of the art sales went to The Sylvia Rivera Law Project.
